Athletics

Kingston offers a comprehensive and challenging PE program that aims to develop a combination of transferable skills promoting physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Our students are encouraged to reflect on present and future choices that contribute to long- term healthy living, while learning about and through movement. Our balanced curriculum provides students with opportunities to learn through health-related fitness, adventure challenges, games, movement composition and indicidual pursuits. Our PE program offers the opportunity to learn and play popular team sports such as football, basketball, hockey, volleyball and many others. Racket sports, team tag and flag soprts, and field athletics are also included in our rich, oncept- baseded approach to personal, social and physical education (PSPE).

As Kingston values the health and fitness of our community, all students attend PE classes twice per 6-day cycle and also have opportunities for physical  play during snack and lunch times.

Additionally, Kingston holds a yearly athletics competition, Sports Day, where students from all year levels participate in a variety of track and field activities and coopertive games.

Kingston’s Sports Teams

Competitive Floor Hockey

Kingston has a very accomplished floor hockey program! Students are welcome to begin learning, loving and training for the sport as young as year 1. Throughout their time in lower primary, any student is welcome to join floor hockey and develop their skills for the game.

In upper primary, students who wish to play for fun are welcome to join the House League Floor Hockey team. House League is non-competitive and a great opportunity to build skills and love for the game.

Students in Upper Primary who show an affinity for the sport are welcome to join the Competitive Floor Hockey Team. Kingston’s competitive team has been playing against other international schools for more than a decade.

In 2023, the Hong Kong Primary School Floor Hockey League was founded and organised by Kingston. With 5 schools and 10 teams involved, the season is long and arduous. But it is extremely exciting and rewarding to travel the city and compete against teams from so many different schools!
